Due to the evolvement of science and technology, there are already many inventions that could certainly improve the way of living of the humanity. Cellphones are there for easy communication, computers for easy document works and internet for searching anything at one click. But these things though very essential in our lives today, the culture that we should be preserving and pass through the next generation is slowly vanishing out of our picture, it may be the tangible or intangible.
The question that we have today is on how to preserve these cultures that we have. It could be that as a student we should be able to witness personally the artifacts that have been placed in museums. Not that watching an image on it on the internet. We should be supporting the laws that aim for the protection of artistic creations, built heritage such as buildings and monuments from devastation in line with industrialization.
Filipinos have been loved by foreigners because of the culture that we have. Our practices when it comes to our family relationship, on handling visitors hospitably at all cost. Because of these cultures, we are strong enough to wear huge smiles on any circumstances. As a member of this generation, we should not change our culture from the influenced by foreign culture. One example for instance is K-Pop, most teenagers today are influenced by this race the Korean they are attached to the way Koreans dress the way they act they don’t know that they are adapting the Koreans culture which is not good because by adapting the culture of others they forget the culture of a true Filipino.
But the thing is every one of us must think of these cultures as the jewel that we have. If we cannot love it we could not make any further ways in preserving it. First thing is to love our cultures and everything will follow.
