I am glad when people learn about history because of its many benefits.
among them The benefits of studying history are:
1.Implanational usefulness.
the historical usefulness of the first is as an educative or a lesson. many humans learn from history.
learn from experience ever done. experience is not only limited to the experience it has,
but also from previous generations. Humans through learning from history can develop their potential. mistakes in the past, both the mistakes themselves and the mistakes of others try to avoid.
In the meantime, a good experience must be imitated and developed. thus, man in his life is not based on trial and error, just as animals do. humans should try to avoid the same mistake a second time.
second historical use is as inspirational. historical stories can inspire readers and listeners. learning from the national revival pioneered by the opening of the modern struggle organization in the early twentieth century, the Indonesian people are now seeking to develop a national upsurge. In the first national awakening, the Indonesian nation seeks to capture the independence that is now perceived as a result.
to develop and sustain independence, the Indonesian nation wants to do the 2nd national awakening, aspiring to learn the constraints of foreign nations. the Indonesian nation not only wants independence, but also wants to be a developed nation, a nation capable of prospering its people. for that, the nation of Indonesia must be keen to master science and technology because through science-controlled IPTEK, the nation of Indonesia has a chance to become a developed and respected nation, and can participate in maintaining world order.
3.Exceptional use.
the third usefulness of history is as a recreational use. the use of history as a story can provide a fresh entertainment. through the writing of historical stories that attract readers can be entertained. the living and communicative writing styles of some historians seem to be able to "hypnotize" the reader. the reader will feel comfortable reading the writings of the historians. the consequences of pleasure and the power of writing the story of history makes the reader happy. membaaca become entertainment and recreational media. reading has become part of the fun. reading is perceived as a necessity, namely a need for a recreative one.
readers in studying the results of writing history not only feel happy like reading a novel, but also can berimajiasi into the past. here the role of historian can be a guide (guide). people who want to see the situation of a region in the past can read it from the writings of historians.
