I spent a few months in South Korea and married into a Korean family. I have never expressly heard this term before, but fully understand the concept. It is interesting to see it spelled out the way you have. We have a very close relationship with a Korean businessman out-of-state. We often go for a meal at his favorite restaurant and are treated as celebrities when we dine with him. We are like guests in a home.
