Most of us Indians have probably watched the Bollywood movie “Taarzan: The Wonder Car” at least once in our lifetime. This is how the car looked.
(The car isn’t the Great Indian!)
But did you ever wonder what the sign “DC” near the front wheel meant?
Well, this DC isn’t DC comics ;)
It’s actually DC Design. DC stands for Dilip Chhabria.
Dilip Chhabria is an Indian car designer and founder of DC Design (Dilip Chhabria Design Center Pvt Ltd). The car was the 1991 model of Toyota MR2, which was one of the best sports car then.
Car design, especially car modifications and futuristic designs, are rarely talked about in India. What's ironic is the fact that one of our generation's most iconic and futuristic car designers is very much an Indian.
For nearly two decades now, Chhabria has been at the epitome of kick-ass car mods and concept designs. His designs involve a refreshing touch to the original and the end results are really worth it!
Here are some of his mods:
The Fortuner. For the more fortunate!
Renault Duster. With the refurbished futuristic design.
And India’s first very own super car, the DC Avanti!
