About 6 months ago, I decided to purchase a miniature wood burning stove. So I, like most other people would, turned to the internet, to do some research. Let me tell you, there are gobs of stoves out there! Anything from whole house wood furnaces, down to portable camp stoves. At first I was slightly overwhelmed, but I stuck it out and finally decided on the Cubic Mini.
The Cubic Mini is made and shipped from, Canada. It has beautiful brass (can also get it in black) trim, a nice glass window, and is well constructed. It only weighs about 25 lbs, and has an optional wall hanging bracket. I opted for the wall kit, and heat shield. There are two models. The cub, which is the one I have, and the grizzly. The cub cost around five hundred bucks, american, and took about a month to arrive. The grizzly costs a little more and is about an inch bigger, all the way around, than the cub. In the following video, I talk more about usage and dimensions.
If you're looking for a wood burner that can heat a 2000 square foot home, then this stove is probably not for you. However, If you need a little more heat in a family room, or den, this might be something to consider.
Here in Ohio, the weather is currently cold. Very cold! This little wood burner is just enough to keep my wood shop comfortable. Also, it costs nothing to use it, aside from a quick walk through the woods to gather up some dry limbs.
I have many videos on youtube, so feel free to subscribe and ask any questions. Best wishes!
