Runaway inflation in Venezuela

Officially, the Venezuelan Bolívar is worth 9 cents of the US dollar. Officially, the exchange rate is 11 Venezuelan Bolívars per US dollar. These are the official numbers published by the government, which every Austrian economist and Venezuelan Libertarian completely disputes. As recent as July, Venezuela's central bank under the dictatorship of the United Socialist Party ramped up the inflation rate to over 800%. Even though the Venezuelan currency is officially 9% of the US dollar, that number is propaganda. It's useless. The market has spoken otherwise.

Today's Venezuelan Bolívar is just like yesterday's German Mark in the years of the Weimer Republic, when postwar hyperinflation caused the money to be so worthless, people had to pull their cash around in wheelbarrows, only to still be unable to afford bread. Today, the shrinking number of Venezuelans who can afford food still can't find it--there's a food shortage, and the black market is only taking 3 types of currency in Venezuela: US Dollars, Euros, and Bitcoin.

Many of our Libertarian brothers and sisters have been affected by this nightmare. In the middle of this economic depression, they also survived the waves of government violence. If you haven't seen the nightmare the Venezuelan libertarians survived, see for yourself what these libertarians witnessed and FILMED!

But a team of ingenious Libertarians found a great way to create private sector jobs that teach libertarian ideas in socialist Venezuela! They'll be creating a sharp bilingual publication that's primarily marketed to Suoth American audiences, but still inclusive of English and Spanish-speaking audiences around the world. These members of the MLV (Venezuela's LP) will build their international following and soon they'll be able to do their own fundraising and sell merchandise for USD or BTC.

The Mises-Mambí Institute of Cuba is helping these Venezuelans create jobs! We've seen what they're doing, it's a great project, and we want to back it! We need $100 to launch this project and have it fully funded for 1 month. That's right, $100 puts a team of Venezuelan libertarians (and one writer in Cuba) to work for a month! This can be funded either through PayPal or through Bitcoin--either way, they'll have a currency that's way more stable than the Bolivariano, which is now on par with Zimbabwe dollars.

Our brothers in Maracay care about Ron Paul's ideas, especially with their central bank more out of control than the Federal Reserve! The American Libertarian movement is now an international movement, and our brothers in Venezuela and Cuba need your help. We need $100 to launch this and fund this for a full month. That means if 10 people only gave $10 each, this fundraiser could be over in an hour. Can YOU give $10 today? Please stand with me on this side of the line in the sand. Join me in standing shoulder to shoulder with our libertarian brothers and sisters in Venezula and Cuba.
