Entering the CUBDefi World as a NEWBIE 😅

in #cub4 years ago (edited)

This experience was brand new and at first very INTIMATING for me. Like many others, I stayed far away from things I can't quite understand, tending to stick to what I know but I'm feeling called to expand and hearing great things and great excitement around this Cub project, so I thought about hopping in.

A few weeks ago I posted about making my first hive and leo purchases. I bought a good chunk to have a better ability to post content on these platforms. So when they announced the airdrop and some of my friends started mentioning liquidity pools I was hoping I could just keep up, scared AF not going to lie. So YES, I fumbled my way through. But thank you to my crypto babes for helping me every step of the way and welcoming me to CUB FINANCE 💚

The first thing you're going to learn to appreciate here are the low fees and gas prices to stake and enter the pools/dens.
I've never experienced #ETH Blockchain but I hear it's quite costly to do the things we're doing on CUB FINANCE for a lot lower barrier than something like that.

You can enter a Farm or a Den, and for me it's a personality thing. Let me tell you what I mean:

So how "FARMS" were explained to me:
You're going to pair your CUB with another token and together they make a baby. And that baby is MORE CUBS.

cute 😍

so as I'm manually staking in these Farms I'm gaining more of the first coin and you can actually see the gains in Live Time.
But I realize even though you come in with equal parts of one token vs the other, things don't stay that way and eventually and more than likely you will end up with more of one coin than the other and there is some sort of impermanent loss.

So I decided to choose the pool CUB-BUSD

BUSD/ being more consistent like the US Dollar
BNB/ fluctuating like btc

You can see the price of Cub in the bottom left hand corner

total value of cub.PNG

and the total value of the project on the bottom right hand side

Cant believe the first million reached in just a few hours of the launch!

I haven't entered any dens just yet but this makes more sense for my personality, dens are a nice option for those that don't want to pool tokens together (or in my case, being brand new and just learning how to) but still want to earn interest, GAINS and MORE CUB

looks much easier in my opinion, you can compound your earnings, just make sure you're going to stay in long enough to make it count because remember you still have to pay yourself back for all those GAS FEES 🤣

IN CONCLUSION:

  • now is the best time to learn and take advantage of the opportunity, bump your head a few times, try not to get overwhelmed as you're learning you're going to experience growing pains, you want to gain experience for the future so you know what to look for to be able to differentiate a good defi project from a scam.

So yea, these are just the first few days of Cub Defi
Happy Farming 😘
