One of the many million dollar questions.
Some figured that out, some believe they did but they didn't, some didn't at all.
And I'm not really one of the former... but, if you are, share your story!
One of the ways I heard that should help answering this question was looking at my childhood. Was there anything that got my interest back then? Were there skills I developed before my peers did? Was I gifted at something?
I think talent plays an important role when it comes to passion because being good at something makes it very enjoyable (and vice versa, passion motivates you to practice and improve). Unless it's something like washing the dishes, but I wonder if there's anyone out there who would ever say they're good at that.
Following this method, it seems like one of my passion could be... writing.
Before I learned how to write properly (at school), I often drew letters randomly. I wasn't able to read but I knew I was writing non-sense most of the time.
Few years later, I still loved writing. Letters finally started to make sense. I even got the writer's callus. I don't write by hand anymore, but I still have it.
However, I have never enjoyed reading as much. After all, I started practicing writing before reading. That sucks, but I gotta look at the bright side.
Yay, writing! Ooga booga!
I may have found a passion. Now I have to figure out how to turn it into something tangible, useful. Writing a blog could be a good start, who knows.
Writing prompts for posts and replies:
- What's your passion?
- Do you like writing?
- Do you have a writer's callus?
- Does your job or hobby involve writing?
P.S. I didn't have pictures that represented writing, so I went for this wood pigeon. Birds might be another passion I have. Birdwatching and photography, mostly. At the moment, I don't have the funds and guts to get a better equipment. But the passion is there.
It's good to see you back. A passion for writing will do you well here on the blockchain. Keep at it daily and before you know it you will be able to afford your other passions.
