I don't know about where you live- but here in Tennessee (USA), it has been quite a hot and humid summer!
While I certainly appreciate every season in it's time.. this summer has been lingering around a little too long if you ask me!
I am all for summer days- but upper 90 degree (F) days are not my cup of tea for more than a day or two.. and we have had more than our share of those days this summer.
My husband and I were out in our garden the other day while our little one was napping- and I saw it.. a sign that summer would soon be over and that fall is coming..
Now I understand that it will likely still be hot for at least another month.. or two.. but this was my little reminder- in the midst of complaining about the heat-
that everything has it's time..
And although this summer heat seems never ending- it will come to an end. Fall will come, and winter to follow, and so on...
So- yes- I am over the summer heat. But I am not yet over pool days with the family or playing in the hose with my son and I will enjoy those for as long as I can!!

Interesting. In one side, you are tired of this summer. On the other hand, you enjoy the pool time with your family and playing in the hose with your son! You can't enjoy the later two during the winter, right!
Anyway, wish you a comfortable time!

Yeah, the differences of these seasons is the nature man is faced with. Each season has its goodies to offer and we have to acknowledge that before complaining of its other contributions which we may not be comfortable with.
Thanks for sharing this awesome post today. Have a great day.

I love summer, including all those 99 degree/99% humidity days in the South. I honestly don't know how I will survive winter in Illinois this year. I'd rather bake than freeze to death or get lost in a blizzard.
So what was the sign? I'm not a gardener (we haven't had one in forever) and I could not get that answer by looking at the picture :) so I'm curious!
Usually it's bloody hot until end of August at least here in Spain, so I expect another 2 full weeks at least, I secretly hope that September is less hot and we can then do some last minute trips and visit a few hotels against budget prices to enjoy some swimming pools. Currently it's way too hot here to dive into the sea when you have to walk a far bit uphill to get back home, I know it's a recipe for disaster, so we're still postponing that.
We arrived a bit too late to enjoy summer to the max but this was the option we had for emigration, it was either this and get everything settled (paperwork etc) during summer OR risk not being able to fly after summer. We picked the first, so this summer is mostly about settling. Thankfully, the evenings are more enjoyable even during the hot days. I prefer going out until midnight and just stay in until we leave in the evening. Less sunburns :)

Pumpkins are usually a sign of fall here in the US- so seeing that made me realize that the hot days are almost over. But it is still bittersweet.
Aha, thanks for clearing that up! I had no idea :)
I would not mind if the heat makes room for an enjoyable temperature where you don't need a coat or jacket but can still enjoy some sun .. it's too hot for too long now for me haha.
I agree! :)
Enjoy it while it lasts my friend have a wonderful one😎
