Do people upvote their own posts? Is it good or bad? Is is frowned upon? Encouraged? Neural?
I never have unless by mistake.
Thoughts?

I never upvote my posts or comments, unless I would run into a situation where they where downvoted and no longer visible, though I used to upvote my posts in the beginning of my Steem journey, but as you can see in the other comments there is a lot of different opinions on this, though after HF21/22 it could be a gamble, stay awesome.
I upvote all my own posts. But never my comments.
Same as Jon, upvoting posts, not comments...
I only upvote my posts to negate any significant downvotes, power to power so to speak.
I upvoted a lot of my early posts to get past the 0.02 threshold, but I think I’m past that now in general.
I would also think to do that only if targeted by too many down votes.
I personally upvote all my photos on APPICS. I do the same on IG. For other posts, I don't unless to counteract some downvote effects.
