Good evening, Stackers and Steemians alike!
Hope everyone is doing well. I have a question for you guys: Did you buy the dip? Did you HODL? Or did you sell?
Last night I begged my wife to let me use one of our credit cards to buy a good amount of BTC. She reluctantly said yes (she's the best). I explained to her that we might not see BTC priced <$11,000 ever again. (we probably will, but I had to sell it :P)
My thoughts are that I think it's a great idea to always try to buy during every dip (especially major ones). Is it possible? Sure, but you have to be patient AF. You have to get past the point of getting nervous during volatility. If you truly believe in the technology of the blockchain, the price drops shouldn't matter much. I'm feeling very comfortable with my holdings right now.
Here are my holdings as of right now, by percentage:
If you picked up, what'd you get? How good of a deal did you get? I'm interested. Thanks a lot for taking the time to look guys, and HODL those cryptos! 2018 is going to be one hell of a year!
just hodl'ed
Hey, better than selling!
HODL! Only Invest what I’m willing to lose! Like a night at a casino! So now instead of going to Begas to lose a couple times a year . I rather buy crypto and let it ride !
Jan dip is normal as there is a year extra interest to earn on the profit taken vs selling in Dec. I am with you on the buy dip but no more ammo to do so...
Well, I'm not able to buy but I did hodl, for me: I don't have much to lose but the little I have, I bougt at 7k, so there's nothing to worry about
Nice!
Was waiting for bank transfer to go through to my Kraken acount... Guess that's the reason why we are investing in Crypto, aren't we?
I rebalanced my crypto portfolio on the way down then picked some up at 11k....and a little more at 9.5.
There were a lot of affordable cryptos today...
Buying the dips has paid off in the past, but hard to stomach these dips again, tests the faith for sure, I always hodl.
I'm taking this chance to buy more Steem!
I just HODLed as I don't like dealing with all the moving of coins and tax implications of cashing in and out and switching positions. I personally hold 15 coins I have long-term faith in, so the short term moves really don't phase me much to be honest (although this was a slightly bigger correction then I was initially expecting).
I’d love to but no spare cash. Buy coins and tokens at a dip with the other dipped coins/tokens?!!! I’m stuck in HODL land for now.
Ugh, a typical problem for non-aggression revolutionary pathfinders...jk. Just a dreamer. Aloha!
I agree. We should always buy during the dips, and hope that they are plentiful. I did not, however, but solely because I didn't have the means to do so.
Good article and good advice! Thanks :)
Next time hopefully you can :D
Mostly held my positions.
I was tapped out so I couldn't buy.
This is a case when it's ok to "double dip"
