I would say that the past and future are illusions and the now is all that exists.
However, trying to describe "now" in terms of time doesn't work.
Now, is the space in which you can work and operate and change the state of things. And that is really the thought of doing those things. The doing of them spreads out into the future.
And it looks as if, from brain activity measurement, that our brains are a couple seconds behind that "thought in the the now"
That is quite literally the most profound thing I have heard you say, I like that definition of now :-)
And yes, I forgot to mention about our brains, there are some actions that can apparently be measured in brain activity around 6 seconds before the conscious response, absolutely amazing.
