How Deep in the Red is your Crypto Portfolio and are you Worried?

In December 2017 I tactfully suggested to my wife that we look at investing a small amount of our savings into Cryptocurrencies. I then received the usual FUD response “I’m not investing in something that’s not backed by anything, it’s a scam”. I then pointed out that the paper in her wallet that we call money wasn’t backed by anything other than a promise from the US government that is very deep in debt. After informing her of the Crypto’s that have risen thousands of percent’s I got clearance to invest a whopping $100. Within 2 weeks that $100 had turned into $300. My wife took notice, I then received approval to invest more and a week later my $300 investment was around $900. Of course, there’s was only one thing I could really do, Invest More!!

Eventually, I pulled a lot more of our savings into crypto and then the market turned Bearish, Mad Crazy Bearish. My portfolio which started off on a trip to the moon had crashed horribly into the Red where it remains. Although there is still a lot of negativity surrounding crypto, and the market is still in recovery mode I’m still very optimistic about its future and have continued to invest more whenever some spare change has presented itself.

I remain Bullish on Crypto as the vast majority of the world population has still not woken up this amazing technology. I firmly believe that in the coming years Blockchain will touch every aspect of our life and will go down in history as a technological breakthrough equal to that of email and the internet. I recently saw a steemit title that illustrated this perfectly “Bitcoin is like the internet in the 1980's” which I wholeheartedly agree with. It’s time for the influencers in high positions to stop calling Cryptocurrencies a SCAM and start sharing the many positive aspects of the this hidden revolutionary technology we have in our midst.
