This year I decided to attend the Intercontinental Chamber of Commerce Gala. The ICC is definitely one of the most unique chambers as it consist of 15 different countries. Houston, being one of the largest and most diverse cities in the world, it only makes sense to join this chamber. As cryptocurrency has experienced a meteoric rise in popularity, I happen to be the only member with experience and development interest in the subject. Accordding to ICC's website
The Intercontinental Chamber of Commerce (ICC) is one of the most unique chambers in TEXAS! ICC has been the organization that motivates, organizes and directs the efforts in our business community for 30 years. ICC members range from small entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies, which consist of thousands of employees. Our membership also includes several foreign consulates and members from numerous countries such as Mexico, China, Malta, Canada, Japan, and England, just to list a few. In addition, ICC has offices in the Galleria, Clear Lake, Mexico, Malta, Panama, Germany, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Poland, UAE-Dubai, Italy, and China. Our table consisted of my friend David Balat who is running for US Congress. David pointed out that the US Constitution states in Article 1 : Section 10 that, and I quote:
No State shall, without the Consent of the Congress, lay any Imposts or Duties on Imports or Exports, except what may be absolutely necessary for executing it's inspection Laws: and the net Produce of all Duties and Imposts, laid by any State on Imports or Exports, shall be for the Use of the Treasury of the United States; and all such Laws shall be subject to the Revision and Controul of the Congress. No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, lay any duty of Tonnage, keep Troops, or Ships of War in time of Peace, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power, or engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.
What that means is that according to the US Constitution, US Congress was tasked with created a currency which it has, the USD. If the government tries to regulate or restrict the use of this currency, they would be violated your constitutional right and exercising overreach.
Cryptocurrency and blockchain development dominated the content of our evening's conversation. Whether you are a republican, democrat, libertarian, or anarchist, we can not deny that all governments are coming for our beloved digital currency. It's my belief that we start to control these conversations before they are dominated by political and business elites. I am seriously considering start a Cryptocurrency and Blockchain lobbying firm. If anyone is interested, you know where to find me. We need to start reaching out to our politicians and demanding that they get on board. Otherwise we will wake up one day and crypto will be completely blackballed.

The gig is up... long time no talk @virtualgrowth. I miss mumble.
I've echoed similar things about this same situation on my last 2 blog posts. If you yearn for more, I'm delivering. :)
