NEO is the rebrand of ANS (i.e. AntShares).
It has drawn many comparisons to Ethereum and has already been called 'Chinese Ethereum'.
Some facts about it:
Better scalability than ETH for smart contracts and dapps.
Supported by the Chinese government.
Support of large market.
Supports many programming languages, facilitating development. In comparison, developers must learn Solidity (!) to program on Ethereum.
Solid partnerships: Alibaba, Microsoft but also WINGS, Bancor, Coindash, etc.
Many products offered, including Nest Smart Fund, AntCha.in blockchain browser, ONCHAIN, etc, with more to come.
Still at a reasonably low price (just under 7 USD, ~256k satoshi) with similar supply (50m circulating, 100m total).
I think NEO/AntShares is a great asset with a lot of potential for the not so distant future.

It's a very interesting project. I'm hoping for big things.
These coins needs to make some good news in order to be a success and of course the developers also must not abandon it. Upvoted.
NEO is definitely interesting. But I expect mass adoption in mainly China.

Are you invested in Stratis?
You bet I am. But it has been stagnating recently. Their latest developer update wasn't exactly groundbreaking, but I do have faith. Stratis does seem to have a better solution with sidechains.
My thoughts on investing in NEO are, what happens If the Chinese get behind it and develop ontop of it like all these eth based tokens did with ethereum? If that turns out to be true then buying in now wont be a bad thing if you plan to hold them for a few years.
All of the news that are coming out lately are extremely exciting. It's a coin with real institutional backing, so I am holding them longterm. I'm sure it will pay off.
