Hi folks!
This week I look at smart contracts, explaining what they are and looking at several technologies enabling them including Ethereum, EOS, Tezos and RSK.
It's going to be really interesting to watch how these platforms evolve over time and whether there is a clear winner at the end of the day.
If you have any questions, just drop them in the comments below.
Very informative video learnt a lot
Thanks for a nice, clear overview of this fascinating and potentialy vital field. From my admittedly inexpert point of view, [1] there's a lot to be said for avoiding the waste of energy and processing power of proof of work; [2] scalability has to be tackled, and where it is claimed, verified, if this technology is going to fulfil its promise to 'step in' as the precarious global systems [economic, ecological, cultural] further erode; [3] problems like that which gave rise to the DAO debacle have to be overcome; and [4] super-friendly user interfaces are urgently needed. [You said most of this :)] Somewhat tangentially, I'm hoping somebody does a non-partisan survey and appraisal of the various and diverse political speculations that this technology invokes.
Awesome recap, thanks for your support!! :) I'm also super interested in the political implications.
I was interested in learning about smart contracts so thanks for sharing this!
Cool, I'd like for you to cover more projects. Few youtubers have any technical insight.
