In this video I talk about how cryptocurrency could replace 25% of national currencies by 2030, as predicted by futurist Thomas Frey.

The implications of this from an investment point of view are huge.
This is a very exciting time to be on Steemit!

I expect exactly the same happen more quick. By 2025-26. In crypto world even most radical predictions are usually to conservative in timing.
I think it will happen way earlier than 2030. Things like this go fast after it reaches a certain point (like about now LOL). See how fast the mobile phone and social media entered the market and that was in a time that the internet was way less developed. Also if you know how rotten the financial markets are and how good the service is that crypto's can deliver compare to what the current system does it is clear that it can go really fast. Here a deeper analyse:

2030 seems very conservative.
But will the national currencies be replaced by any current crypto? Or by new cryptos not yet invented?
I think it will happen. 2030 sounds like a pretty fair number. I think crypto will reach its apex by 2025 so five years with btc and other legacies at a point where their values are steady and strong. It would make total sense to completely obliterate all the fiat systems and lead to an entire new structure of wealth and economy
Definitely possible. It will be an interesting ride until then for sure.
crypto goes to the moon
strap me to the rocket!
It will be interesting to see how the world will change and react to cryptocurrencies in 2030.
and we'll be there ready.
Interesting discussion, thanks for taking the time to make this video. I've posted about a similar topic in the past. https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@advanticle/will-bitcoin-replace-fiat-currency
I think cryptocurrency is still in sort of a test run, because people are holding it as a store of value. Just think who would profit if all cryptocurrencies go to zero? I agree it is decentralized and away from banks and governments. But we are still waiting for their real response. In a scenario where crypto is going to stay, by 2030. crypto has a high potential to go to at least 25%.
'Governments will play an uncertain rule' That's an interesting way of putting it lol Anyways I haven't seen this awesome article yet so thanks for pointing it out!
