How Will Cryptos Go Mainstream

King Crypto

How will Cryptocurrencies reach the masses, becoming a celebrity in its own right? Will "Crypto" become mainstream?

If you're a firm believer like most of us in the CryptoSpace, of course, the answer is YES!
However, the question of "how" still remains unanswered. If Crypto is the vehicle, and mainstream Crypto the destination- what is the road that will pave the way? Some people say Bitcoin and some say Ethereum and the odd one says Ripple.

If we take a look at your computer you're sitting on or laptop, tablet, smartphone or even your smart TV, they are all big products and when something is cool it starts a trend and we buy- in the masses. Look at Cryptos in the same way, except 'we' only represent an estimated 3 million active users of Crypto judged by how many wallets are in use.

Put into perspective

Lets crunch some numbers here:

Estimated 3 million users and a population of 7.5 billion we get 0.04% of the population uses Crypto

"In saying this the 7.5 billion does include children and the 3 million is an estimate"

Big Players

Take gambling for example. It has made it's way onto the scene through ICO's such as this big hit iDice. iDice has been on the market since June 24th, 2017 with 30.2% of its' customers coming from the United States. In a way, this is making the token more mainstream by being popularised to buy, so they can access these better odds and features of the blockchain through Ethereum - More bang for your buck!
Another Big Player in the market is the Adult Entertainment sector, with a particular focus in voyeurism and webcam viewers. Merging of the two sectors has led to the ICO Rasputin, with great potential to bring exponential growth to the Cryptospace.

"Sales figures are hard to come by, however we can see traffic numbers and the larger Voyeur Cam sites like reallifecam.com are getting 𝐮𝐩𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟏𝟐 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝟑𝟔 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 + (source alexa.com)."

Response

Responses from people to the ICO's have spoken volumes, creating interest not only for the 'consumer' aspect but for the 'buyer/investor' aspect. Taking a slice from a buyers perspective into the potential dividend gains from an Adult Entertainment business (if it gets off the ground and stays in business) could be quite lucrative for any potential investor. Anyone who invests in Adult Entertainment is generally stigmatised and splashed with the same black brush - Who's going to know, but yourself and other investors/users?

Similarly - the ability to place a bet with Eth coins to iDice, and the ability to spend your hard earned stake with better odds using blockchain technology with provable integrity... Could it produce a better future for some?

"iDice uses open source [blockchain-based Oraclize.it](https://crowdsale.idice.io/idice-whitepaper.pdf) to retrieve a random integer supplied by Random.org via TLSNotary. The iDice smart contract then performs encryption on the integer provided by Random.org and the IPFS address of the TLSNotary proof to compute the game result." _______

All im hoping for is that the cryptos become a little more stable and not so damn volitile. But that said, i hope the crypto currencies do take a major role in current economics.

it's an interesting article. Well I believe crypto will be the future of money

Thanks for the comment @jwolf. 100% believe the same thing, just tossing up some ideas to break the ice into mainstream :)
