Steemians Welcome!

Poloniex

Has caused quite the stir of late, developing big over the past couple of days from a post
by @msg768 ~ Boasting a healthy 91 responses, 560 views, 256 upvotes and helping out with $577.68 from some unhappy Steemians wanting answers and discussion in regards to the long delays!
@msg768 released another post thanking the people who contributed and shared their views on the matter - while some Steemers expresses their deepest dislike towards Poloniex, but it did have some legs to stand on with a comment coming from Steemian;

@crypto-ta "Polo doesn't need to manipulate prices, they make millions in fees each week. The reality is Polo is sorely understaffed and under-resourced for the massive increase of people they recently gained, and its showing in that wallets are constantly going down and it takes weeks for people to have support tickets resolved"

"They are obviously having serious problems trying to expand to meet demand. It's just incompetence on their part, not malicious market manipulation."

In the Second post, @msg768 states "just read a post from @lukestokes who's a Steemian and a witness, about how he has finally received his 3000 STEEM from Poloniex after 51+ days!"

Bittrex

The little brother to "Poloniex" has been given a big spur on by the Steemer community, as well as trusty old Reddit. When the Reddit community have a thread from 1 month ago and it's STILL getting comments to move over to Bittrex because of reasons like manipulation, lag, congestion, and this "support is horrible and trollbox is filled with people asking for help or verification , lost transaction, stopped transactions etc" and hard to withdraw funds.

The only negative that anyone sees with Bittrex is liquidity and poor volumes of trades compared to the big brother - but does this really matter? Indications are showing a dramatic increase of people switching over, and seeing as this is what CoinMarketCap provides, we could see a shift of markets going hand in hand with stronger expectations.

In short form - in a market as volatile as ours, ANYTHING can happen!

I'm still on poloniex but I have moved to trusting Bittrex more and more. Especially when it took forever to withdraw my Steem Dollars on poloniex to Steemit. That was quite frustrating. Followed! Keep the good crypto talk going.

@dre5025 thanks for the first comment! Upvoted and follow back my friend!
I could imagine, especially if SteemIt is a small or large passive income for you or even a start into the crypto and that's your experience with Poloniex, i can't blame you for being frustrated! Thank you keep the great feedback coming.

that is great information

Thank you Angelah! The main content is about Crypto but there will be other information and tips in the future. Hope you come along for the Journey πŸš‚πŸš‚

Bittrex is pretty good. I recommend it. I do find it strange that for being so successful, Poloniex is so understaffed. Same for Coinbase.

@jarexx thank you for the comment and would have to agree with you 100%. I understand lots of volume but it didn't just go from 100 to 10,000,000 overnight..
May have a look into this for some answers for us πŸ”¬

Last week Bcn had a pump, i placed 270,000bcn for sell and it was a lost transaction on poloniex. I cried really, am moving to bittrex

@austinofana OH MY WORD Have you received a response from Poloniex? Has this happened previously? Please keep me informed about what happens with this @austinofana! Sincerely hope they help you quickly and surely reimburse you or compensate!
Also on Steemit.chat if that's easier!

Thank you for reading! Fantastic question! Shall post on this in the next couple of days @annesaya
cause we're ALL about the Steemians :)

Polo dropped the Trollbox like a month or so ago btw ;) You have a new follower! I always make it a point to go through my list of followers and follow new fans. I also go to their blog and find an original post to comment on and resteem, see who I'm following and kind of introduce myself. I also am curious where you found me, as I would like to continue to grow and am keeping track of what's working and what isn't. I await your reply!

@enginewitty Thank you for your comment and feedback, and thank you for the follow back!
Haha thanks, seen this. It was to give reference of the whole situation from beginning to end so Steemians understand. If they haven't looked at Polo on Reddit they could just click the hyperlink and read the thread or go to the Polo site to give them a better picture :)

Certainly, Looked at your profile from the list of Steemit Friend Train and Followed. Really appreciate you saying hello :) Looking forward to seeing grow and resteem away my friend ✌️

Ok awesome, thought I recognized your name as a newbie along with my own. @infobunny might be on to something good over there. Glad to have a new connection here!

It's a really good initiative. Hopefully everyone follows the requirements because look what happens when you do :) great conversations and friendships form!
