As someone who's old enough to have seen home computers grow from Commodore 64s to custom built PCs,id have to agree...with you almost totally with the timeline.

Though there will certain fields where mass adoption might happen within i believe within a 1-5 year timeline.

And as in any new technology ,I honestly it needs to be mass adopted by (gasp)the government to be successful.

Why?

That sweet ,sweet funding...(ex:hence how GPS technology was developed and first implemented by the military.)

Tor is another example of something created & funded by US Military
(its primary purpose was for to protect military intelligence)

And that was in the 1990's.

So yes certain things will get mass adopted quicker (I believe this platform has a good chance to be one of them,especially with FB privacy issues)

Alot dear friends will take time.
