We have a lot of exciting announcements to cover in this week’s edition of TBIS Weekly. From our Vordex Exchange to t-shirts, the Titanium team is pleased to bring you installment three of TBIS Weekly! As always, we have selected frequently asked questions from our submissions form for the Titanium team to answer. We would like to remind everyone that the Community Voice section is your chance to submit questions that we may not normally have time to answer within our social media groups. Thank you to all our community members who participated this week.
We want to say thank you to the whole community for voting for our rebranded logo. We loved all three and needed your help to pick one that would allow us to stand out. You certainly delivered and we are proud to announce Option Three won!
Last week’s Titanium logo vote was a smashing success and the winning logo will be displayed as the icon for our Telegram announcement channel (https://t.me/tbisinc) upon release of this publication
This week we are back at it with a new t-shirt vote!. The winning t-shirt will be available for purchase when we open our merchandise store. Additionally, Titanium Team members will rock them at events, so choose carefully! Below are the three design choices.
Titanium is proud to present VORDEX! We have announced the name for our DEXchange and development is already underway. We could not be more excited about the future of this product. TBIS will be working closely with our partners at ProjectPOMA to ensure the success of VORDEX. More specifically, ProjectPOMA will be focusing on the exchange’s back engineering while our team at Titanium directs the vision.
Everything that was promised within our DEXchange will be implemented into VORDEX, with some ingenius improvements from the mind of our COO, Richard Silver, and other industry specialists.
At long last, Titanium’s revised Whitepaper is ready for release! This updated version includes a complete overall vision of Titanium’s closed ecosystem and products. This WP includes additional detail, missing sections, and a revamped design. We know that this is a small, but important, piece of the puzzle for Titanium’s future and our community of TBAR token holders.
Although this version of the Whitepaper is more technical, it does not, and will not go into explicit underlying technical detail. Much of the architecture is proprietary at this time, with patents in the works.
Q: In last week’s edition you stated that the total circulating supply of TBAR was 43 million. Why has this changed from the original ICO amount of 35 million?
A: As outlined in the whitepaper we had various BAR token distributions. For example we had bounty, airdrops, and marketing that all went along with ICO. There was a slight TBAR loss due the theft because TBIS honored some stolen BAR purchases that occurred before the fork.
-Michael Stollaire, CEO
Q: Now that Richard is an Advisor for BitFence, will this benefit TBIS in any way? Furthermore, what is Richard's role within BitFence and how much time will he be spending advising for them?
A: BitFence is a great project that is security focused. We may have bigger news regarding them in the coming weeks. I’ll be advising them on some business strategy and helping them with their release scheduling, as well as other input they request. In a typical day I work 12-16 hours for TBIS. The way I see it there are 8-12 more hours each day I’m able to shift around to help guide BitFence.
- Richard Silver, COO
Q: With the ‘as a service’ platform expanding, in theory what other types of normal physical hardware can be deployed ‘as a service’? Is it similar, identical, different, or more than what I would see on Azure?
A: Our Infrastructure as a Service will grow to allow just about any type of computer hardware to run in a decentralized fashion. All of the other ‘aaS' implementations will run on top of IaaS. Our IaaS differs from Azure in that Azure's services run in centralized data centers.
- Dan Bereczki, CTO
Q: Where and when will I be able to purchase Titanium merchandise?
A: Currently we are working hard to stock up on newly designed merchandise, so you can expect these to be available next month. These will go up for sale on our website.
- Dan Steel, Merchandise Coordinator
Q: Titanium will be using a PoW masternode system. Do you believe that PoW is the future of cryptocurrency and why implement a tiered masternode system, what benefits does this have?
A: Titanium's masternodes are planned to be a hybrid of PoW and PoS. PoW doesn't scale well and will be limited to level that it can scale. Because of the scalability issues with PoW, I don't believe there will be many systems dependent on just PoW in the future.
Tiered masternodes allow for more than just the largest holders of TBAR to participate. The more you hold, the more you are rewarded which provides more incentive to buy and hold TBAR.
