I have a feeling 2018 will show some major changes not only to the world of currency, but crypto-currency as we know it will likely go through a paradigm shift of sorts as the new technology scales to worldwide adoption. Lets hope its for the better!

I think we will see a massive increase in awareness around cryptocurrencies in 2018.

My brother sold his Bitcoin to Coinbase at 18,200 just a few days ago. It made its way all the way up to 19.6k on some markets (in USD)

I think that not too far away from now there will be a process of cleanup through the current crypto currencies as some of them don't bring value and are so similar to other that you don't know which to poke...anyhow, the market will grow but i think that many cryptos will disappear or stagnate...
Yes, 2018 will see the world of finance completely disrupted by blockchain/crypto. I predict that the gigantic wealth gap big banking has been building will be be completely fucked up and they may try to fight back. That is why we need to get the every day person to invest in crypto~~
npr reported the other day that the majority of bitcoin is held by a group of only 1000 whales. Do you guys think this is true or just poor journalism? The piece I listened to slaughtered a whole lot of what crypto is about.

I read somewhere that in our globe there are around 80 trilion USD money, and in bitcoin there are only around 400 billion usd, it is not even 1% of the whole money of the world, but by time people get aware of it and are changing their money to cryptocurrency, thats why to many transactions are still waiting to get realized.
So definitely it will go viral day by day!
I believe the total is closer to 200 trillion USD worldwide (all currency combined). The total crypto market cap went from 15 billion USD to over 500 billion USD in 2017. Of course I don't know the exact numbers, but this shows how much value is entering the crypto market, and thus leaving the fiat currency market.
Both www.coinmarketcap.com and www.cryptolization.com offer us more insight into these numbers.

I honestly believe it won't just be 2018 but the next few years we will be seeing some magical things happen in the world with the whole crypto-currency. Now is definitely the time to make some moves if you haven't already but I believe we have some wiggle room to keep investing and doing our thing.

I think 2018 will be the downfall of cryptocurrencies, at least for the bitcoin. I don't want it to be, but i think so.
