Investopedia defines Disruptive innovation as
"a technology whose application significantly affects the way a market functions."
Take Smartphones for example. Better yet, the internet. A powerful tool which significantly changed the way us humans and companies did business. Those who adopted it continually reap its rewards unlike those who do not, which are negatively impacted for not joining the bandwagon
''The Blockchain is Next''
While financial institutions rave about the potential for blockchain—the technology that powers bitcoin—as a way to revolutionize the financial world, it can also help keep private data secure. A blockchain is essentially a digital ledger that, thanks to some computational tricks, records every change made to it indelibly
Distributed ledger technology has been taking quite the spotlight during 2017. With the bullish bitcoin market (and speculated bubble), lots of things have been at work with other altcoins and Blockchain platforms. The Blockchain offers immense potential, and its crazy that many people don't know that.
Then again, nobody found the double entry accounting system cool until its adoption in the 1940's and how much it changed the way people did business. Way to go Luca Pacioli!
So what's the disruption, and how will it integrate? We hope that our infographic will give you a better insight on what is to come
The Government of Georgia
Is using Blockchain to register land titles and validate property-related government transactions., Bitfury Group, to design a blockchain land registry pilot with the Republic of Georgia's National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR), a new memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed to expand the offering of services.
The UK government
Released a Blockchain-as-a-service platform allowing government agencies to experiment, build and deploy digital services based on distributed ledger technology. In 2016 work for welfare payments was trialed to prevent fraud and protect critical infrastructure and registering assets
Estonian citizens and e-residents
Are provided a cryptographically secure digital ID card that is run on Blockchain platform (in the back-end) allowing access to various public services. Impacting e-voting and electronic health records
Singapores Monetary Authority of Singapore
Completed a proof-of-concept pilot to experiment the use of Blockchain for inter-bank payments. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is partnering with R3, and a consortium of financial institutions on a proof-of-concept project to conduct inter-bank payments using blockchain and has released a new report detailing Project Ubin, an initiative triggered last year aimed at developing a tokenized form of the Singapore dollar (SGD) on a distributed ledger.
Dubai
Has set up a Global Blockchain Council to explore current and future Blockchain applications. Launched in early 2016, the GBC boasts more than 47 members from both the public and private sectors, and the panel session saw new projects announced by IT giant IBM, telecom operator du and the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), among others. Proofs-of-concept trials are covering health records, title transfer, business registration, digital wills, tourism engagement, shipping and even reducing the illicit diamond trade however the primary initiatives are aimed at enabling interoperability between loyalty platforms
Disruptive Innovation and Integration,
Blockchain Technology is coming through, get ready for a Technological Revolution!

Thank you! This just show us how this new tehnology takes over the world and becomes a big part of it! This is just begining for it! Upvoted! :)
The only question remains is that which cryptocurrency will give a tough time to bitcoin or even cross btc in the near future, ethereum is on its way but i see a great future for steem as well @steemitguide
Excellent article. Well worth a resteem. It's getting redundant, having to explain how big this disruption is, but it's very important to keep sounding the alarms.
Thank you and Steem On.
I like your post. Blockchain is here and it will change our future for the better. I wish I had a crystal bowl to look into the future and see just how amazing it will be. wish u a great day...keep sharing
I think that blockchain technology have huge potental and will have a great application in digital security which is, as we all know, a massive and growning problem in world.
Just imagine that we won't have to worry about our digital security. It would be great to feel free. Also, it can reduce security costs. Some analysis showed that "security is now estimated to cost the industry about $18.5 billion annualy".
The more and more I get into the crypto world and read about blockchain, the more I believe in it.
Happy to be part of the revolution.
Let's take the system down!! :D
thank you good post
Wow amazing, love it:)
lol the future is coming so quick!
Fantastic infographics and factoids. Its only a matter of when for greater mass acceptance of echnology.
Keepposting more.
Interesting writing, keep on working.
I think much of the blockchain technology of the future hasn't even been invented yet. Think about that for a minute. Blockchain technology still has significant issues, like scaling, to overcome, but it's going to change so many industries. - @jarexx
I'm wondering what would be the impact of the first quantum computer regarding the blockchain. What do you think?
Wrote this Post 8 Months ago: Importance of Hashing Algorithms and Why should we Ask Ourselves if Cryptography and Encryption are Safe from the latest development of Quantum Computers. There will definitely be an Impact when Quantum Computer hit the mainstream markets, this would mean Developers at some point would need to recognize any potential future vulnerability if it were to arise
Thank you! Great article. It seems like the blockchain is what we need in all aspects of our life, in the future.
@gaitan, this is a difficult but interesting question. I can not evaluate and rate these innovation but it seems to me that in the first period, quantum computer will be used in security and data transmission. Later, I suppose, it will be implemented in engineering and business.
And, of course, it will take time until quantum computers will be available for the general public. The article from @steemitguide is a nice response to different questions regarding this. In conclusion, the blockchain will be safer than other technologies.
Beautiful review! Congratulations! Upvoted!
Great explanation, thank you!
Do you think Steemit is here to stay. Or will it be taken over by another platform?
It wouldn't make sense to spend a lot of time here. If steemit doesn't make up for it in the end. w
To be honest, I think Steemit will be more than just a platform as it is literally bootstrapping a Digital Economy. Within our life time, you'll see Steemit become much bigger than Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Platform but who knows there is always a chance of different platforms becoming more popular. Personally, a lot of people hope for Steemit to succeed because this a never done before experiment that is actually distributing value among its community member quite well. You don't have to invest money, nor are you forced to enjoy the good free content on here since what you do with your life is your choice, so you decide what you wanna spend your time on
I wonder too. With platforms like synereo coming out.. hmm
Synereo is not even out yet! Don't hype something that isn't out yet, learned that the hardway in the Crypto-Space
