Bitcoin Cash On Coinbase - Will Newcomers Know The Difference?

Coinbase & GDAX just listed Bitcoin Cash, BCash or BCH (naming all to stay politically correct on this matter 😇) on their platform while releasing customer funds from the fork in August at the same time. With Coinbase being the main gate to cryptos for Newcomers right now it´ll get very interesting over the next weeks in my opinion.

I honestly fear that many Newcomers might not know the difference between BCH & BTC so that we end up with a lot of confusion after a certain period of time. That might just be a small issue though after all and only lead to more discussions about the true Bitcoin. At least Coinbase & GDAX tried to clarify this matter by addressing it in their newsletters and updates on the new coin listing.

The more interesting question though is whether we´ll see a huge spark in BCH prices or actually the exact opposite. In my opinion the listing could just lead to a huge demand, especially as it´s easier for people to own a full coin but it could as well lead to a huge dump as many people were just waiting for their BCH to be released. The latter would possibly end up in a soaring BTC price as many could prefer to relocate their money into the Big Daddy.

That Being Said I´m Interested In Your Opinions!
Will We See A Pump Or A Dump within the next Days?

That is very interesting. I think it was highly orchestrated given the price of BCH was pumped way up in the beginning. I saw over 11500 sell orders at $8499 before their BCH exchanged locked up. Just look at the screen capture I took. I've never seen a chart do this.

This is all while BCH was under $4000 everywhere else. I think some select people got very rich off of the BCH dump. I wonder if they will move onto the other 3 currencies to pump them up.

It really looks like insider trading. If you were watching, over the previous few days BCH had a nice bump over several exchanges. Also this was timed once again after a bitcoin difficulty adjustment. Finally Coinbase said they were adding it next year but changed the time line for "some reason". Looks pretty ugly to me. Some poor bastards bought at 9500 hundred before trading was suspended. Reddit also had a FUD campaign against BTC going strong.

It definitely looks fishy and if it's no insider thing them definitely another demonstration how awesome this company is...

Yeah it's a little strange as well that first the price was set so damn high and second the trading got suspended after a very short time...

As someone who was holding Bitcoin Cash prior to the merge onto Coinbase, I almost pooped myself when I saw $8.5K. Anyone else?

I was shocked but as I got no BCH anymore I wasn't too concerned after all :D

@steembusiness I listen to a lot of what BIX Weir has to say on the Road to Roota and he seems to think that BCH will become what Bitcoin is now. I think he believes in what Roger Ver thinks.
Roger Keith Ver (born January 27, 1979) is a Kittitian/Nevisian early investor in bitcoin related startups. He was formerly an American citizen. He was born and lived in Silicon Valley. He now resides in Japan. He has been a prominent supporter of bitcoin adoption and saw bitcoin as a means to promote economic freedom. He now promotes BCash, a hard fork of the cryptocurrency created to fix adoption issues such as high fees. He identifies as a libertarian, an anarcho-capitalist, peace advocate and advocates for individualism and voluntaryism

I still strongly believe in BTC as the leading crypto but we need to see improvements like the lightning network to make it suitable for a mass adoption.

The end of 2017 is experiencing a huge PUMP on BCH...
Now... Roger is spreading FUD :p

Let's see where that thing will go :)

Obviously they have haha

surprising for Bangladesh @steembusiness

nice work friends. follow me. thank you

Mmh in case you leave a related comment I might consider it eventually :P

y yo echandole la culpa a los chinos y fue coinbase que enlisto BCH

The bummer is that my account at Coinbase got suspended a couple of months ago over some stupid misunderstanding RE: TOS. Remains to be seen whether I'm getting my BCH or not.

For sure I as part of new comers have suffered . Will it take us time to truly understand cryptocurrencies? We have seen so many cryptocurrencies coming as more confusion are being added.
@Steembusiness I understand Bitcoin, steem, lites, on coin, etc. And I always ask a question on the better criptocurrency to invest in since I'm full of confusion
Thank you again I'm boosting my knowledge on cryptocurrencies day by day though still difficult
