In cryptocurrency, we see two category of people.
1. Traders = those who look to buy every dip and sell on peaks.
2. Investors = those who are ready to withstand the rough weather and look for a long term gain.

Below is an example of investment. This will perhaps clear your thoughts about what category you belong to.
Usain Bolt has won 8 gold medals in last 3 Olympics and he has run less than 2 mins on the track. That's economy of effort.
Usain Bolt ran for less than 115 secs in total in his 3 Olympics and made $119 million dollars! That's more than $1 million for each second he ran! But for those 2 mins he trained for 20+ years ! That's Investment.
So if you are an investor, Think Long Term.
Do both! Hold the bulk of your funds long term for sure, but buy/sell little bits when it makes sense.....IF you do it right you can increase your long term holdings.
Thank you for your comment. I am trying to do both. But in current market conditions, just sitting back and relax for most of the part.
haha, yea for sure....a lot of days i just don't want to look!
