Hi Steemit World,
Not so long ago there were a couple of proposals for a Bitcoin ETF. These Bitcoin ETF's, however, got blocked by the SEC (US Securities and Exchange Commission). If anyone wonders why this is a relevant trend to follow closely, it's because you can be assured that when SEC approved funds enter the market it will be huge. It would open up 'Bitcoin' to institutional investors and an incredible amount of liquidity. How much? Currently, the US ETF market alone juggles around 3 TRILLION of assets in USD. If SEC approval becomes a reality not only would it be positive for the new liquidity, and the massive buy signal it would represent worldwide but it would push forward acceptance all over the world.
Will it really happen? I don't know. What do you think?
Check the link here to read the original news story and an article about the ETF market.
