Ethereum wallet/ Mist block rate too much for average CPU???

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Hey Everyone,
I'm keeping this post real short... I've noticed one of my computers can't seem to catch up downloading Ethereum blocks as new ones are produced...

Its a constant chase!

It's not a particularly old/slow computer and my internet up/download speeds are pretty decent. I've compared my processor speed to ranking lists, considered 6Mb Ram isn't too-too bad (ha, too-too, like a ballerina-sorrynotsorrybutsortasorry), and 50Mps is pretty normal for anyone not on business service internet. Curious to see who else wants to comment on this issue and what is known about it. Are Eth transactions getting so out of hand that the average joe's computer can't keep up with the creation of the blockchain???

I also noticed the mist browser made my Mac start working. It is an old Mac Pro, a workhorse.

I always thought that that depended on a computers graphics card, don't quote me on that but its something along those lines.

That's a good consideration. The graphics card shouldn't be terrible, but I may need to check some stats.

nice post and good information ,,, you have good blog , Good luck. Comrade
