Yes. I ran into trying to explain it alot at my real estate meetups as crypto always seems to come up. Eventually I wrote a short e-book called ScaredyCatGuide to Knowing What the Heck Bitcoin Is that I give away to whoever wants it.

Defining the blockchain and bitcoin separately was the biggest thing for it to click for people I've found.
