Yesterday, 33 companies from all over Germany founded the Blockchain Bundesverband, based in Berlin. Today, on 30.06.2017, the first official press conference took place at the conference center in the House of the Federal Press Conference.
The board consists of Florian Gatz (blockchain.lawyer), Joachim Lohkamp (JOLOCOM) and Friederike Ernst (gnosis). In addition, the association has a political advisory council with politicians from all political groups. Marcus Ewald, Chairman of the Board of the Young Economic Council, chairs the Advisory Board.
The goal of the association is to form a non-partisan social alliance for the early, comprehensive adaptation of the blockchain technology in Germany. Dialogue with the policy is necessary in order to set the right regulatory framework in time so that startups and companies are given the opportunity to actively promote the blockchain technology in Germany.
Thus Florian Glatz emphasizes:
"If we take this opportunity, we can shape the global Internet of tomorrow. If we leave them unused, we leave the issue of action to others again. We call on all parties to make the next coalition treaty "block-friendly". This includes testing at least one public register with blockchain technology by 2020. "
"Others" means Florian Glatz, above all, the big American Internet companies, who verify, control and transfer our data. The Internet or Internet 3.0 based on the blockchain technology offers the possibility to recover data integrity and to ensure data integrity, regardless of Facebook, Google and Co.
Thus, a focus of the federation will be the state recognition of blockchain-based trust and identity services as well as electronic signatures. The potential in business and administration is enormous and offers Germany the opportunity to set international standards.
In order to implement this, the Federal Association calls for an active promotion of education and science, since already many new jobs in the blockchain area are already being created. In addition, a Blockchain Enquete Commission is to be set up to investigate how blockchain technology can help the democratic state to lead the digital age.
