Cryptocurrency lesson no. 1

Imagine, me and my dad, looking at each other and saying simultaniously "Why the hell didn't we do that sooner?"

That's what we did a month or two ago. My dad is 73, and he has always been interested in computers from day 1 they existed. We were that one family who owned a computer in the '80s. My dad build it himself, with a wooden keyboard and an old tv. Weeks after end he would be working on it, in his own room.

A couple of weeks ago there was a news article here in the Netherlands about the bitcoin. And that was the moment where we said "Why, dad, why!". Back in 2009 we both were talking about maybe doing an investment in BTC. But we didn't. I didn't have the money to spare and he didn't either. Looking back at it .... hmm, not so good a decision. But well, we have a dutch saying: Je kijkt altijd achteraf een koe in de kont. Roughly translated: You always stare a cow in it's ass. And that was what got me deciding: I am not falling behind again, now I am going to do it. But where to start?

In the meantime I was introduced to a guy here in our city who has made his first move with cryptocurrency 2 years ago. I've asked him if he was willing to guide me into cryptoland and he was willing to explain a lot to me. So today we had a meeting. He told me everything I needed to know to make a good start in mining and buying. He explained me thing about ICO, OneLife, the Ecosystems, trading etc. And we came up with some awesome ideas in the meantime as well.

Next step is preparing my investment, deciding about which coins and how much I want to do. Soon, I will be the proud owner of some cryptocoins. But ... while we were talking I told him about this platform and how I started here about a week or two ago.

And he said "Guuurrllll you are already mining!" Do I? yeah, because they have their own cryptocoin. "Yeah, you're right, they do". So I came online and I see my first proud 0.09 steemit coins! Stoked, I am.
