According to an unnamed senior official from India's Ministry of Finance, the government is expected to issue detailed guidelines by September. According to the official, the draft is already ready and is in consultation with all the stakeholders before it is finalized. To regulate Cryptocurrencies, it will have to go through multiple agencies like Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), and the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). Also in September, India's top court is set to decide on petitions filed by Indian Crypto exchanges to regulate the industry and not ban it. (VS)
