Ever since Hugo Chavez came to power the United States and its murderous CIA have been trying to destabilize the country. U.S. sanctions ordered by Trump, like everywhere else the U.S. tries them, will only hurt ordinary people. You cannot be apolitical about this. The U.S. has long history of overthrowing governments in S.America that don't kow tow to the demands of the American empire.
