RE: The new occupation. Crypto-prospectin'

Mining is something I think every new crypto investor should try. It helps to understand the backend of things.

I bought a new, cheap HP with win10 and a 2gb gpu for $120. I wanted to see how it all worked. It's been a fun learning experience. Mined a ton of BCN when it was .00000017, it's now .00000118, some XMR and other coins.

Don't think of the electricity short term, think coin value long term. Look at how much the value of coins have increased since late March, boom! If you would have set your rig up before March you'd be a happy person right now. Even now it's still early as so many coins are only beginning to position themselves.

I'm getting ready to build a better rig now that I know what I'm doing. Happy mining!

Yep, you got it spot on. I started mining in a large part after having some experience running a Steem Witness. I made a mistake to not continue to run my witnesses but I don't think it is that important. I was making what at current prices is about worth $5/day, and on top of that about $1.50/day on curation rewards. I actually almost am paying my rent on this! I just don't want to continue to mince with the establishment of Steem anymore. They have shown utter disinterest in what has proven over and over again to be correct insights from me about what is happening and why. shrug I'll just build the Dawn Network and who cares about who is wrong. Let the market decide :)
