What happens when BTC loses 51% market dominance?

Nothing? Will another coin take its place? Will there be no clear majority?
An awful lot of people have been moving to ETH as their new stable secure currency of choice.
Today I see Ripple is back in the #2 slot. Idk, something about the Japanese National Bank, or something.
Decentralization is great, and it would be nice to see a world where a dozen currencies compete to see who can move the most, instead of BTC acting as a third-party for most exchanges.

This data are just from the past few months, too. BTC retained a >75% market dominance for as long as I can find data for. Then right around Mid-March its lead began falling rapidly.
IMHO there are too many innovations that have come out. SegWit is a bandage on a wound that is bleeding out. And fuck BTU, ultimately it is the best solution but i don't trust the guys behind that particular attempt.
Its like how an ETF might not be a bad thing, but the Winklevoss' sure was.

Sure, most of the 700+ coins listed on coinmarketcap are garbage, but some of them really do offer innovative solutions for transaction time, public trust, security, and on down the road...
