Content is king folks and for way too long people have been getting shorted by various media social networks for a long time. . How you may ask?
Well, if a YouTube video receives 1mm views spend some time investigating what the content contributor could possibly receive. You may be shocked at how little it is. .
A blogger who receives 50,000 page views/month is also being greatly undercompensated for the quality content and real world value they are adding to people's lives.
We Now have a platform that is properly rewarding for the value of content provided.
Now let's help steemit ahead!
Here are 5 tips we can all incorporate to increase visibility and value steemians!
1 Stop watching and reading those 1-3 hours of media controlled news outlets and use the extra time to create value for your fellow man with your posts on steemit. If you don't want to post, spend that time reading and up voting.
2 Drop your other social networking sites unless you are using them to promote steemit.
3 Focus! Commit to providing value to others. Even if you don't "think" it's valuable someone may find it very useful.
4 Talk about steemit with others even if they aren't willing to listen like my wife. ( She isn't going to get any of the riches either when this thing goes parabolic!)
5 Vent and release your stress and anger via a post or two. It's healthy and others are probably feeling the same way. Believe it or not when people can relate it creates connection and steemit is free from censorship so let it rip!! 😀
Now steem on steemians!!!!
Thanks for the post.
Original content...original content.
There are way too many on here who just want to post a youtube video or a meme. Come one. That is garbage. People need to write stuff. If someone creates a video, wonderful, post it on DTube and it will be on here. But this crap of having a nice header and just posting a link to a youtube video is just promoting youtube.
Agreed and if people feel they are not good at creating content then they should just write from the heart!

I remember reading about how much people made on YouTube, and even on ridiculously popular videos it wasn't all that much. I think Gangnam style made about 850k USD, but in the context of being one of the most popular YouTube videos at the time, it really wasn't all that much.
Exactly! ! We are worth more as human beings and creators than we realize. Sites like YouTube and the various others steal the value.
Gangnam style made a lot more than that, just most of the proceeds went to the Google Boys.
Yes, kind of my point. Proceeds not sufficiently being provided to the creators. It feels like steemit bridges that gap, IMHO.
Yeah, exactly. It "made" a lot of money, but The Big G got to keep it.
Great explanation..thank you!
You're welcome
