Semux Semux Logo

Semux, the Java-based cryptocurrency is on it's way to enable the virtual machine, that let's you employ smart contracts on the Semux blockchain.
Semux itself is written from scratch - with influences of other currencies, for sure. The VM mainly influenced by Ethereum's VM and will be very similar. But rewritten in Java!

more VMs

This will only be the first VM - there are more to come! You can decide, which VM fits you best, but all run on the same decentralized blockchain.
The first VM Implementation is running on the testnet. It's final release is planned for Q4 / 2018!

Decentralization

Every CryptoCurrency tells you, how decentralized they are - but are they? Semux has 100 delegates. They forge the blocks and they build consensus. 100 does not seem to be much, but there are only 17 pools, which forged Blocs for BTC yesterday... While PoS chains seem to be even more decentralized, they demand being online with your wallet all the time. This is a true decentralized mechanism, but not even close to reality.
Masternodes of other chains seem to fit in here very well, but they need technical know how and have to be on a dedicated server, which is also online all the time... so having 100 nodes seems to be a good compromise.
Semux Devs and users already discussed the possibility of having more nodes, for getting even more decentralized and stable. This is not off the table, it is just behind next releases.

Don't miss this chance!
