My understanding is that based on past variance, the expectation was that XRP would hit the 0.28-0.30 range, which it did -- what happens next, is open again, and we'll need more data points to assess where things might be headed.
Beyond TA, I would be cautioned by the fact that the rally up was driven by >75% of the volume coming from Korean exchanges (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ripple/#markets). Those people like to gamble. :) Which is not to say Ripple isn't good technology or anything -- just that there are a number of factors at play in these swings, all not fully rational.
