February was definitely not a good month for most altcoins. There are a few exceptions such as Litecoin, OmiseGO and Ethereum Classic, but most altcoins lost a lot of their value last month.
Bitcoin started February with a market dominance of 33.5% and strengthened its position as king of the cryptocurrencies by rising to a dominance of 40%.
Steem was an absolute outperformer in January (up 62%), but unfortunately lost almost 38% of its value last month.

I've personally been impressed with how well NEO has held up in February. It seems to me that NEO is proving the dual-token model to be very stable and sustainable.
Both BTC and steem are a long hold .. I think the next double , if not triple boom will be around June 2018
@josteem
I would say the same thing for ethereum
Definitely ... though no one knows about the new rivals to etherium would do I.e EOS , Ada, etc. even Coming SMT
From your mouth to goods ears! XD
Thanks for being on the right side of the prophecy 😉
WOW!
DigixDAO managed to spike as much as +131.8% at the end of February.
It's amazing,if you thought that mostly any coin has a btc trading pair
DigixDAO destroying everything
What do you expect to happen this month? Not taking it as financial advice but it would be fun to see if things match up at the end of the month.
Would it be logical to say that investing in the ones that lost most in Febr will be most likely profitable in March?
It's hard to predict short term, but based on technical analysis I think we can expect $12.000 very soon if Bitcoin can break the dark blue line in this daily chart. We are very close to a breakout.

Thanks for the reply. I am expecting BTC to go below $10,000 for a little while before it reaches $ 12,000. For all the people who just started their first cryptocurrency experience I hope I am wrong :)
Ugh. Hate it when I am right :)
bitcoin is one of the biggest opportunities since the invention of the internet itself.... great times to be around....
Indeed it really is an awesome time to be alive, with the crypto revolution, Augmented Reality tech coming soon, Virtual Reality tech coming later, and so much more!
It hurts to look at 😢🙃

Bitcoin still saves its top rank, Litcoin on raise. Thanks for the list.
Do you think Bitcoin Cash will reach Bitcoin status?
I don't believe Bitcoin Cash is any better than Litecoin. A block size increase is not a good scaling solution in my opinion.
Great post. You are going well carry on And Thanks for sharing. Hope so we got happy thing in next month. When bitcoin achieve 25k$ price.
This shows why you need to have a diversified portfolio.
Didn't expect that BTC would be in the green over the month of February.
Hu hu hu iam really jealous of the steem...
Great post @penguinpablo
Very useful
Bitcoin is the first, Bitcoin is the king in this world now haha
This great information I appreciate your crytocurrency news thanks for sharing bitcoin..resteemit..
it is always pleasure for us to watch steem at top position.
good post, but this is all a lot of price setbacks.
why can be like this?
Truly February wasn't a great month, not in the least. I have not lost in crypto alone, but also in fiat. But it is my hope and prayers that things will turn around that will redound to our good fortune. Thank you for a post with such good content.
LiteCoin looking good.
nice work .. thanks
upvote and follow @rikineng
i am a newcomer in steemit
Simplicity is my strategy. I accumulate bitcoin and etherium where I can and rarely look at alt coins, unless there is a good fundamental reason.
It would be interesting to look at the difference between accumulating bitcoin and trading alt coins over the long term.
It is more profitting to trade altcoins. Got friends doing way better than me. I just buy and hold.
Upvoted ☝ Have a great day!
Yes
Thanx for info, OmiseGO did well, good pick
Great post
I'm very grateful for your appreciation
Thank's
this is very helpful
Hope is to point you in the right direction, spur your interest to do more research, and steer you away from the potential scams out there (And yes, there are potential scam coins in the top 50!)
It really has been a tough time for crypto holders. We have all had to be very patient and wait for the numbers to trickle back up to even a fraction of their all time highs.
This Red Sea kills me every morning ...
What's the hour you use to define the 24hr period? do you take UTC time?
Yes, UTC.
Steem should reach $10
Great info thank you.
STEEM dropping in value is good news because we can all buy some more 😎 WOOHOO!
