You're relying on other people to drive you around though - you have the pay for that labour cost. Car-sharing is far cheaper since you're the one doing the driving. Plus, with Uber/Lyft, you can only operate in whatever jurisdictions those companies are active in, which for the most part is select major cities. With car-sharing, you can operate anywhere there's someone else willing to rent a vehicle.
