Weekends are notorious for humps and slumps in cryptocurrency prices, but rarely for announcements that might affect the prices: too few people and institutions are trading. The first week of August seems to have been different, unless I'm misjudging the effects of the declarations. With news from China, Iran and the IRS, plus news from within the cryptocurrency world, the past few days offered a bumper crop — as well as a bounding bitcoin price.
