I would reccomend that you encrypt the usb drive that you use for it. Either directly encrypt the flash or encrypt the data that you are gonna store on the flash using something like gpg -c ... Also I reccomend storing the flash drive or drives at friends houses, at work, in a locker at the gym for in case your house gets raided. I know that sounds a bit extreme, but in countries like Russian I've heard about the police coming to people's houses to confiscate their computers if they find out the person owns bitcoin.
