Long sessions apps are apps that engage users for a sustained period of time. On-demand streaming providers like Netflix, Spotify & Hulu are examples of providers that longsession applications. Video games are another example of a long-session app.

While traditional monetization models like Google AdSense are best suited for short session use cases such as websites, blogs, etc., the Sleekplay monetization model is useful for such longsession applications. Goals indicate the amount of daily engagement time a user should enter into a Sleekplay-supported app to enjoy the incentives provided by the app, as well as the awards offered by the Sleekplay platform directly.

The goal on the Sleekplay platform is the constant that is determined by, on the one hand, the output of device computing and on the other hand, the numbers derived from our research are conducted on long-term application and core application categories (ie streaming media and gaming applications).

From our research on our core longsession application category, we conclude the following:

Average user session time for music streaming app - 60 minutes14
Average user session time for video streaming apps - 140 minutes15
Average user session time for games - 180 minutes

The average of our study was 121 minutes (about 2 hours). Therefore, the constant value for the destination on the Sleekplay platform is 2 hours. This shows the amount of time users are encouraged to use the app to earn rewards.
