With the implementation of the Casper FFG in a matter of months, I thought it would be worth looking into what kind of effect this could have on the price of Ethereum.

ETH is having scalability problems at this moment, but it's still growing. We also have to see how the change from POW to POS will affect its price.
Do you think that getting into POS will solve the scalability problems partially? IDK, but I'm thinking that BTC's LN will be replacing a lot of the previous BTC replacements when it's out, maybe.
It's a high chance, we will see
I am still sticking to Ethereum taking the world by storm in 2018 and even beyond. My next bet is EOS and internet of things based coins. Thanks for the vids man. I have seen some really great advice form you in the last few weeks :-)
Absolutely right thought and great analysis about ETH..
Well, currently STEEM is killing the game, but this change from POW to POS will affect ETH's price in a positive manner I guess. But that's just my humble point of view.
Long as well on eth..need to get it out of its fud funk. .
Eth will problaby overtake Bitcoin down the line (not right now obviously) it offers so much more and when they switch to their masternode system it will also be more economical than POW.

The thing you said that this implementation will solve issues of supply of new Ethereum, and it will affect price, definitely makes me more interested about the project.

The implementation of the Casper FFG into the ethereum blockchain will drastically increased the price of ethereum . The Casper FFG implementation on ethereum blockchain will be used by alot of blockchain applications and programs. The price of ethereum will definately rise higher @louisthomas
Ethereum is still the second in the table on top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization and valued.

Even with POS and PoW running in tandem there is a huge technical challenge ahead to get POS to work. I am not at all sure that this change over will go smoothly so I actually think that the coming months are a risky time to have a large exposure to ETH. Software integrations like this rarely (actually never) go smoothly. If you want proof just ask any TSB customer and TSB had an army of "softies" on the case.

Listened through. Thanks for helping people grasp the upcoming developments in basic terms. The price call at the end, as much as I hate to consider them, did get my adrenaline flowing.
The big debate will be if there will be another July-August bear market after any prior bull run, where shorting to make those potential gains compound would be amazing. I didn't do it successfully last year, and want to try to learn from that mistake, BUT it could easily be Murphy's Law this year to do the opposite and leave people in the dust.
I guess holding is the best insurance, while mining contracts and Steemit can produce low risk accumulation during any price climate.
All cryptocurrencies are based on some type of protocol which is consisted out of rules and regulations for validating transactions. Most of them use POW protocol which relies on miners and their good will, expertise and a lot of spent electricity, to ‘solve blocks’ or validate transaction of funds. They get some coins in return, for their effort. Right now, things are changing for some cryptocurrencies, like Ethereum. They are switching from Proof-of-work protocol to a so-called Proof-of-stake protocol (PoS). New, PoS protocol for Ethereum is called Casper and will bring a lot of new assets to the table.
