Do you ever wonder why previous and current generations hold such a strong emphasis on college education? Most everyone was taught at a young age some of the obvious benefits...
- Conservatively securing a ticket in the hope you land on some sort of financially secure rock ( which most settle for).
- Building up relations and connections
- Acquiring an education while learning to plan and live on your own
But how did this all come to be and become a default decision in western life?
First thing we need to do is set aside the box and your perspective on life. I want you to pretend it's 1895 in the U.S. You are living in the south and can barley read. In this life you have a very limiting view and knowledge of the world compared to modern days. Somehow you find yourself in a more wealthy town or city. There you see people talking and reading about stuff that you can barley even knowledgeably conceive. Let's say you were talked down too or brushed aside by an educated man. You realize at that moment, knowledge is power. So what do you do after learning this lesson? You make your kids get an
education. You stain your experience on your child, instilling a hard truth of education being key.
In today's day and age that lesson stands true. But does that mean we still need these colleges and universities? If you are on steemit then you already know that the internet can be used to learn mostly anything. So you can see where I'm going with this. Of course there are many careers such as doctorate, biologist, crime analyses, etc...where these specialty's need some sort of accredited process because you don't want Joe Blow pumping you full of anesthesia after getting a online certification.
This brings me to how colleges are a disgrace to what they formerly were. Some of the classes are the most useless
nonsensical courses I've ever seen offered. The new generation is being led by a generation of teachers that never left the campus environment. On top of that these professors go along with the agenda of the students and Higher gov. We don't need a Government to accredit all this. I believe we as a people are smart enough to vet our own accreditation.
Our new generation of student's are being led and conditioned to accept life under the care of the government.
I want to see a platform where teachers of all specialty's can set up shop and begin teaching. Where the price of learning is cut significantly. I'd rather live in a world with open ended discovery and destiny, rather than a pre-determined list of choices and planned outcomes.
It is an idea that merits reflection. I will follow you because you have a good vision on the crypto and that you look nice to me. Good job
