The US has only not been at war for 2 years total since it was founded. War mongering has become so commonplace many don't even notice it any longer. We must have learned by now you cannot war your way to peace. At this point we are basically funding a terrorist organization.
Meanwhile the American people are not even having the basic needs met on the local level. The government won't spend $500 to fill a pothole, but will spend billions on warfare and even embezzle money by saying items cost much more than they actually do. The mafia learned all their tricks from the government.
