NEW YORK: Bitcoin fell to a two-month low on Sunday, sliding in three of last four sessions on nagging regulatory and security concerns after the weekend hacking of South korean cryptocurrency exchange coin rail.
The original cryptocurrency in nearing its lowest level of the year of just under $5900 BTC=BTSP on the Bit-stamp platform. It fell to a low off below $6400 and last traded down 4.7 per cent at 6440.42.
So far in 2018 Bitcoin is down nearly 53% after soaring more the 1,300 per cent last year.
