Few days ago my MEW has been haked, all my tokens has been stolen, I do not know how. Guys, beleive me, l feel it in my stomach and it hurts.
Now, l have an idea, please do not laugh at me because I have no idea about app programing and blockchain things.
Is it posible for some one to make an app based on blockchain/etherum/bitcoin.... what so ever to serve as 2 factor/ steps authentification/verification when some one make a withdraw.
I understand the privacy, anonemousy thing and the spirit of blockchain, but I do not care as soon as my money are in a safe place.
Look, I am a good citizen,pay my taxes and have nothing to hide, but I do not want to pay 10% of my tranzactions to the Bank and wait 1-2 days for tranzaction to take place, and I love the idea behind cryptocurrencies, but I want to be sure that no body can steal my hardwork money.
1.) Learn about other wallets, such as Exodus (https://www.exodus.io/). Exodus does not hold all altcoins, however. You might be able to get more altcoins with Exodus Eden (https://www.exodus.io/eden/).
2.) What others have done (
is have two MEW accounts. One MyEtherWallet account is used to temporarily hold altcoins and is known by your exchange(s). You keep a second (or third, or fourth) MEW with the majority of one or more altcoins, but never use it with an exchange - only the first wallet is ever known by address to an exchange. This may help deny hackers.So the answer really is "get more wallets, and don't hold all your crypto currencies in one wallet".
