I think that for anyone new to crypto, understanding the fundamentals of Bitcoin is the most important thing. Familiarizing yourself with the idea and technology behind it makes it 10x easier to grasp everything that came afterwards. And in my opinion everyone in crypto should read Mastering Bitcoin written by Andreas Antonopoulos.
