I saw the Whoppercoin story the other day and laughed. It looks like Burger King is thinking that it can use crypto as a kind of loyalty rewards program, which is just weird. As @silent.screamer said, a lot of these ICOs will certainly become shitcoin and we'll have something similar to the dotcom bust with many of them, which is fine. Creative destruction is natural and what we need. Unfortunately, there will be people who get suckered into them looking for another get rich quick scheme. And so it'll be interesting to see how the regulatory agencies respond. People are running to crypto to get away from the government, but I don't see that working for very long, at least not completely.
