Beginners Guide To Cryptocurrency

You’ve probably heard it a thousand times, “You should invest in bitcoin.” Wether you’ve brushed it off as a fad, or you’ve actually put some thought into it, Bitcoin and other Alt coins are the biggest and fastest changing markets around. With crypto currency climbing the charts, who knows how much money could be made by just putting $5 into it. However, just trying to buy $5 worth of any crypto currency can be complicated for someone who hasn’t had experience. With crypto experts dominating the market, it seems to confusing to even begin. That’s why I have created the beginners guide to Cryptocurrency.

Step 1: Deciding which Cryptocurrency to invest in.

There are thousands of Cryptocurrencies out there, so choosing the right one can be hard. First you have to look at what it’s worth, the history of the coin, and the reputation of the company. For instance, at the moment Bitcoin is the top Crypto coin available, with a worth $9,376.64 USD (at the moment). While Dogecoin on the other hand is worth a mere 0.01 USD, and the owner bailed on the idea years ago, making it not a reliable coin.

Here are some apps to get you started:

  • Robin Hood
    A stock trading app that you can use to easily track the value of cryptocurrency.

  • Coin Stats
    A cryptocurrency tracker app with a little more variation of coins, but more complicated charts.

Step 2: Get a wallet
No I’m not talking about a physical wallet. I’m talking about a crypto wallet. Crypto wallets are used to store your crypto currencies. Owning a wallet, gives you a special address in which you can receive any crypto currency. There are many different types out there, from the most secure to the least, but which ever one you choose is where your coins will go.

Here are some apps to get you started:

  • FreeWallet
    Free wallet is an app available on both Google Play and Apple App Store that allows you to store multiple crypto currencies.

  • Coinbase
    Coinbase is a Wallet that doubles as a crypto trader, however there are many fees associated with it.

Step 3: Invest
There are ways to put money into crypto currency, and free ways also! Not everything costs money!

  • Cash App
    An app where you can buy Bitcoin from your bank funds

    An app where you can invest into any coin with minimal fees.
